CRM Masjid

Fulfilling Aspirations

The Evolution of Cumberland Road Masjid (CRM) – A Beacon of Learning, Unity, and Community Excellence.

ABOUT US

Established in 1995, Cumberland Road Masjid (CRM) has flourished into a beloved center for learning. Led by Imam Farrukh, a graduate of Madinah University, CRM offers diverse educational classes and counseling services. With over 190 students in our children’s Madrasah and vibrant community events, we’re expanding to better serve our growing community.

In 1995 our elders purchased a house to establish Cumberland Road Masjid (CRM). Over the last 20 years, it has become a well-loved masjid and a center for learning. At CRM we provide an array of educational classes for all ages.

We are honoured to have Imam Farrukh, who is a senior graduate from the Faculty of Hadith in Madinah University to lead us. He tirelessly delivers inspiring Jumuah Khutbahs, reminders and lessons in Fiqh, Aqeedah, Hadith, Tafseer, Arabic, Seerah, Stories of the Prophets and Salaf. His vast experience and knowledge also enable him to provide valuable counselling for members of the community.

Currently, our children’s Madrasah and Youth classes hold over 190 students. We also run school holiday workshops and programmes that help the youth to connect with Islam while building friendships. All our programmes promote personal development and real-life skills.

For our youngest members of the community we have the popular Little Mu’mins playgroup run by sisters. Enjoyed by mothers and toddlers alike, it is a fantastic setting for earliest learning. Quran recitation, story time, exploration through play, rhyme time, educational hands on activities are some of the best loved features of this group.

Sisters have abundant opportunities of learning from a variety of classes such as Quran, Tajweed, Arabic and Tafseer. We also have parenting courses and fitness classes on demand from sisters.

New Muslims are welcomed and supported through their learning journeys from one-one to group sessions by our experienced teachers.

Our community events allow families to get together, learn and share delicious cuisines on occasions.

Ramadhan, Iftar, Tarawih, and Eid congregations are organised every year and cater to over 1000 worshippers.

At CRM we are continually striving to better our services and facilities. As our community is ever growing the demands on our services are also growing.

To allow us to improve our services and facilities we are running an extension project. This is a requirement to not only provide larger prayer halls, wudhu, and toilet facilities but also easy access, classrooms and multipurpose halls for events and gatherings.
